Pros

Experience Part time job possibility Flexibility Better understanding of people's psychology For beginners without any minors or majors - this is an amazing opportunity to get better at interpreting, opportunity to practice, but not if you are willing to become a professional interpreter and if you graduated in this field of studies.

Cons

Wage Stress level If feel like for this kind of stressful job they could pay 100-150 euros more, since sometimes there are no intervals between the calls, the clients and limited english proficiency people are rude and disrespectful. Also, the terminology of some calls is way too difficult even for L4 interpreters, there's a chance of a wrong interpretation which leads to misunderstanding and even higher stress level.

Contractors are self-employed and do not have the same benefits as an employee. Please note: we regularly review industry compensation. No communication between interpreters, they dont want them eventually forming some king of union
