Layoffs and Loyalty

Pros

The People, Flexibility, ESOP, Good Clients and Projects

Cons

No job security, they're too focused on certain markets and offices they want to grow so the other sectors and offices are having layoffs and failing to thrive. But as long as they make sure the CEO and C-Suite get their end of the year bonus at the expense of the workers, that's all that matters, right?

Pros

Friendly atmosphere. High priority in continuing ed for career advancement. Great co-workers. Great pay and benefits.

Cons

Not much transparency between upper management and employees. Upper management has become increasingly disconnected from the employees with the continued desire for growth.

Stay away from this firm

Pros

Only game in town so they have you trapped.

Cons

This is a firm that if you are not one of the chosen few you have no chance getting anywhere. A majority of the management from directors on up are clueless that seem to have no education in business management, just engineers. They just happened to be in the right place at the right time and inherited their positions. They did an internal poll of management and the biggest issue is they are totally untrustworthy. There seems to be a lot of discrimination in the firm as well.

We appreciate the time you took to write about LDG. It is unfortunate that you seem to have had such a bad experience. As was the case during your employment, I’d like to extend our open door policy to you even though you aren’t an active part of the LDG family at this time. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. (Mark Morgenfruh, Vice President Human Resources, 570-323-6603 x267) I am sure that had you utilized that resource any issues or concerns, real or perceived, would have been cleared up very quickly – we embrace a very transparent environment and encourage open dialogue to resolve differences. And I am certain that had we talked, the broad sentiment about discrimination could have been resolved. LDG is an Equal Opportunity Employer and we encourage females, minorities, veterans the disabled and people from all walks of life to join our team. Discrimination of any sort is illegal, but more importantly goes against the values and culture of our company and is not tolerated here at LDG.
