Pros

Many positives: approachable on-site leadership, creative freedom with groups and theoretical frameworks, some positive teamwork, clear objectives and expectations for some, beautiful and clean workspace, manageable caseloads, morale building such as birthday cakes and staff sobriety date celebrations.

Cons

Whether you are let go for policy violations or financial restructuring because of low census, the call from HR is a flat “Legacy is going in a different direction,” with no clarification when asked. I also had experienced hostility in the workplace from two coworkers that often bordered blatant bullying. My supervisor would tell me week after week that it was a “them” problem and despite my best efforts, it was never resolved. Toward the end of my employment at Legacy I felt very uncomfortable and anxious around my peers. My best advice is to keep to yourself and expect the unexpected. Support from immediate leadership, Jodi and Alayna, are genuine and encouraging. I find the leadership above them does not share their kind values.

Pros

Outing are fun and making long lasting connections with clients is very rewarding.

Cons

Very little opportunity to grow within the company. The pay remains the same the entire time without a raise and if you get promoted they only offer $1 more even though your responsibilities significantly increase. Very little consideration when it comes to accommodating your schedule in order to manage your work-life and personal-life. The expectations are huge which would be a good thing if they didn’t pay as little as they do. Clients are treated like royalty and not held accountable for their actions. You will be expected to be their maid on top of a bht but you will not get compensation for such a thing. And the worst part is they don’t even disclose that before offering you the job, this is not listed as one of the responsibilities at all! So be ready to scrub toilets. If that’s your thing make your own cleaning business you’ll make more money that way. There are way better Rehabilitation Centers out there that will treat you better, have their own separate cleaning service and have more opportunities for growth.

Pros

None I can think of

Cons

They cut medical services in order to provide luxury amenities. They only refer patients to their partners they have an agreement with and not necessarily the one that is best for the client. They continue to allow patients to stay even after having drugs delivered to the facility jeopardizing the sobriety of other patients. Decisions are based on bottom line over the quality of care. No privacy for interviews and physical exams. Admin treats medical poorly. No place for parking. No place to purchase lunch and they do not offer it. Focus is on providing patients with a luxury vacation. If there is an issue they will not communicate. Revolving door of people. They take advantage of people and then toss.
