Pros

-Fun parties -Perks like door dash credit -Coworkers are generally kind -Work computer is a Macbook -Nice office in Scottsdale, AZ -Great PTO and sick day policy

Cons

-The claims department is managed really poorly, the adjusters are overworked, they ignore inbound calls leaving claims champions to deal with irate customers that haven't heard back in weeks -Claims champion role is essentially an on the phone punching bag, they can't assist with the claims process besides reiterating basic updates that have already been emailed to the customer -Upper management is vindictive and will punish people that speak up about the issues in the workplace -Claims champion path allows for little to no career growth -Pay is low, below industry standard, especially for the types of calls you get. Prepare to be screamed at and threatened by customers all day every day. -Management makes it clear they don't value claims champions -Low morale and toxic culture -No chance for a raise for 2 years, not guaranteed to actually get one, you just can't ask for one until then -High turnover, constantly short staffed and more job duties are added without increasing pay -Call center environment

Pros

During your time at Lemonade you will get access to a Macbook air. This is considered a pro, aside from that it seems like an unsustainable model to provide each new employee with a Macbook when turn over is as high as it is. They host parties frequently however be prepared for a lot of social pressure to attend. This can be exhausting when the environment at parties often fosters negative gossip.

Cons

The insurance side of Lemonade is undervalued, in every single way. Often employees are not properly trained in insurance, or Lemonades business practices due to the leadership constantly changing them. Employees may not receive a raise even after two years. Benchmarks for progress in getting a raise are unclear. Advocates are overworked, understaffed and have no support. Champions take on an incredible amount of responsibility for their role, and are treated as disposable by advocates. Leadership does not recognize the talents of their staff. Does not have a formal HR department despite having hundreds of employees. I would not recommend this role if you are needing ADA for this reason. Company culture is not what it is promised to be in my own experience. In my experience, company culture was very clique based. The online and remote nature of this role only heightens the culture.

Pros

Office snacks, beautiful offices, and great healthcare.

Cons

Favoritism is rampant. Very cliquey feels like high school. Inexperience leadership. Little to no opportunities for advancement outside of Claims and CX. Leadership aggressively seeks feedback just to shoot it down. Branding is misleading. The marketing of insurance products conflicts with actual policy language. Unethical handling of claims to promote NPS. The majority of these reviews are fake. Please look at the cluster of posting dates for 5-star reviews.
