Pros

The company may feel "warm and fuzzy" with a great mission up front, but do not be fooled.

Cons

Leadership likes to tout that "culture is their strategy." It is a nice tagline, but meant nothing in practice. Drastic, sweeping decisions (mistakes) were made without ever consulting anyone internally who may be able to provide insight. Large numbers of internal/FTE's were laid off in favor of "expert consultants" who came in and made a huge mess for everyone to figure out. Large groups of employees would be laid off, and in the next all company meeting, they were referred to as "corporate overhead" (instead of people) and they didn't want to spend too much time discussing the layoffs, so as to not "bring down the mood."

Lifespark Response

We are sorry to hear your thoughts because culture is our strategy and we stand firmly behind that. Our team members, even in the midst of rapid growth, have repeatedly voted us a Top 150 and Top USA workplace. We’ve been very vocal and transparent about our shift from fee-for-service to value-based care to serve seniors more fully with a complete senior health experience. At the same time, like many companies across the country, current economic factors have led us to make tough decisions with non-client facing staff, unfortunately impacting roughly 1% of our workforce. We covered that in great detail via company meetings, team meetings, and direct communication to help our people understand and feel confident about why these decisions were made. The good news, Lifespark remains a stable, healthy company with a committed workforce and we are not slowing down our hiring. Happy to meet with you to clear up any misunderstandings but also to learn more from your perspective on areas we can improve our employee experience which as always, remains a priority. Toxic Upper Managment

Pros

The mission, who can't get behind improving the lives of seniors? People truly wanted to make a difference in their lives.

Cons

- Upper Management cares naught about any of the employees across the company. - Poor future outlook, they have no idea what they are doing and they have the wrong people leading the teams making decisions. - Upper Management often hides information and details from their employees, leaving everyone to feel panicked and worried - Current employees are left in the dark when it comes to upward mobility and new roles are not open to internal employees - Pay is consistently below market - Benefits are not competitive - Diversity is not a value - Culture and moral has deteriorated to completely toxic and sad over the years that I worked there

Pros

Great flexibility, benefits and great team (Engineering)

Cons

The head of Lifespark is a joke, very, very bad decision-making over and over. Multiple teams laid off, changing directions over and over, wasting money.
