Pros

Free food on Fridays. Pretty amazing and capable product. Most of our customer's absolutely love our product and tell us about it.

Cons

Just have a look at what other people found useful as far as customer care reviews here... It paints a pretty clear picture that seems to be ignored internally. Customer care is absolutely mismanaged and disorganized - specifically support. Constant complaints that are made by myself and coworkers here are ignored and we are often times intimidated by the management staff. It is an absolute top-down style of management that makes nearly all of us want to leave this department if not the entire company. The pay discrepancy between THE SAME tier can be upwards of 20K/year - is this even legal? There is extreme amounts of favoritism that shows in certain peoples salaries and promotions. No ideas can make it past without being threatened with write ups and withholding promotions. It is 100% about ticket metrics, though they lie to you in your interview and tell you its not. They don't care when new releases happen that cause significant amounts of troubleshooting overhead, they just want to see empty support queues no matter what. Verbal abuse is rampant, with myself personally overhearing people in my department being called names that would make a Tarantino movie look PG-13. Again, this is done by the management staff. The only way to make a decent wage and get promoted is to ultimately kiss butt and sell your soul. Keep your head down, don't bring up ideas, don't ever advise new ways of management, and most importantly, always be ready to get intimidated with a smile on your face. An atmosphere of constant back-door meetings between the managers makes you question if they ever actually do any work. It seems they would rather play manager theory than actually do any work flow process evaluation. There is extremely limited face-to-face time with any leadership and when there is all of them will tell you a different story of how you're doing. Come review time they will say its not about metrics but the 'overall' picture they see, but they will quickly go right back to ticket metrics and solely focus on that for your review. Often times the reviews seem absolutely contrived rather than being a fun part of the job to get to know people and improve their focus. We also get absolutely no direction as far as how to get promoted. Again, see favoritism. How it ultimately goes is if manager 'x' likes you, you will get promoted. If they really like you, you will get more money. If you simply come in and do a fantastic job, you will likely get the absolute bare minimum of everything. Most of us are just waiting for Google campus to open up fully so we can jump ship. Nobody comes into support under this management with a smile on their face and a sense of pride. Everyone hates it here in support. 100% do NOT recommend joining LogRhythm customer care, specifically support. If you must come into customer care, just go to Professional Services. They get paid more and clearly have better leadership. They seem to generally be happy while support staff can't wait until we leave.

I appreciate the candid feedback. Your experience is not consistent with the values and overall culture we have built over the years and continue working to build upon and improve...a culture and environment the vast majority of folks on this site and in the company have valued very positively. I can assure you that your feedback will be looked into and taken seriously. Also, my door is always open to discuss further in confidence.

Pros

Like working for company clearly owned by a giant east coast equity group who intends to sell it as a product or let it fail? Lots to like here. Big paycuts and layoffs at the slightest sign of trouble? You'll be glad you worked here and not some other company which did not do these things to its personnel. Thanks Thoma Bravo! Prefer companies with historically vibrant and supportive cultures that were turned into shambling souless husks after an "acquisition." Your in luck because it's all here! Seriously Thoma Bravo really screwed up a good thing and has a long record of doing so to the software companies they acquire.

Cons

- Lack of transparency from Thoma Bravo ownership - Lots of missed business targets and lost customers - Lots of change in company plans - Lots of turnover and abrupt resignations - CEO should run a car dealership instead of infosec company In my time at LR there has been a clear turn from a great place to work in beautiful Boulder CO to one that answers to east coast bankers who strip everything they can. Too much turnover to keep the next generation product development on track... what a shame. It's too bad the owners sold it after I started working here.

Pros

Up to date technology, some departments and VPs are better than others

Cons

LogRhythm was a great place to work in the beginning. Great work atmosphere, plenty of teams to work with and lots of support them Thoma Bravo took over. Within a few months, people were quitting daily and after a few months, entire sections of the company were empty. Because Thoma Bravo is a company flipper and is only interested in profits, most of the positions were not back filled, forcing those who remained to take on additional work loads. After a while, it got ridiculous, resulting in more people quitting. When the Corona virus showed up, our salaries were cut by 20 percent and the 401 K matching was stopped. This resulted in more people having to quit for better paying jobs. Out of the goodness of our hearts, employees started an internal support fund for other co-workers who were in financial destress due to the salary cut. Our salaries were finally restored but the lost wages were never paid back. Many of the original developers who had intimate knowledge of the product were also leaving at an accelerated rate. Today, working at LogRhythm is very demanding, and very high expectations are placed on every one. You are lucky if you get a lousy 1.5 to 2 percent salary increase which does not even match the increases in the cost of living. Is all about profit and making LogRhythm look good enough on paper so they can be sold. The best thing that could happen to LogRhythm is to be sold.

Thank you for posting a review as we always value constructive feedback and endeavor to be a great company with a fantastic culture. However, I want to address your concerns as many of the points you raised are dated and inaccurate. Our PE partners at Thoma Bravo are not ‘company flippers’ per your comments. Since the acquisition of LogRhythm, we have collectively invested significantly on internal systems and R&D. In fact, we have doubled the engineering/R&D team while up-leveling engineering with contemporary cloud development skills. There are many examples of other Thoma Bravo companies going public and they continue to remain as board members and investors. Their track record of helping companies grow provides stable workplaces for thousands of employees. You are correct that we started a LogRhythm fund during the pandemic with the mission to assist the extended LogRhythm family and--we are proud of it. While no one from LogRhythm was released last year, many employees had spouses and partners that lost jobs due to the pandemic. Through the great work of the fund we were able to assist many families that suffered hardship during a difficult time. You are also correct in stating that expectations are high at LogRhythm. Cybersecurity is serious business. We take our responsibility to our customers very seriously and ask that all of our employees do the same. Our company mission states it well: “To empower every organization around the world to effortlessly secure and protect themselves against security risk, theft, and loss”. So yes, expectations here are very high. Mark
