Terrible Place to Work

Pros

The only pro was the free chips at the office

Cons

Consulting in general is a terrible place to be in. You are treated as a second-rate citizen in the client's office. And if Logic can't find a place for you at their clients' offices, then they will put you on Bench, which means that you don't make any money since you're paid hourly (project-based employees). Management doesn't do anything to try to get you onto other projects. I was on Bench for 6 months after my project ended. They kept saying that a project is going to open up, but nothing ever came. I quit after 6 months of being on Bench because I got an offer from a top 4 tech company (FANG). Whatever you do, don't accept an offer from Logic2020. Especially if they are rushing you to fill a position.

Thank you for your review. We always appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to learn and improve. We are sorry you feel Consulting wasn’t a good fit for you. Yes, it can be hard sometimes to find the right project opportunity for our consultants when they join our team or an assignment ends. A lot can fluctuate and change depending on what our clients are looking for, or what projects are already underway. However, please be assured that there is a large team of people meeting several times a week specifically for the purpose of assigning the right people to every project, including those that are upcoming but not yet contracted. Our teams actively look for projects that match the skills of our consultants on the bench, and place emphasis on finding projects suited for the experience and expertise of those employees. They use multiple sources of information about our consultants as they fill those assignments, including feedback from project managers, career managers, and clients as well as the information contained in the consultant profiles each of our employees maintains. I’m sorry that you were not placed on a project that was a fit for you. We will try and find more ways to add transparency and clarity to the opportunities available for those on the bench, and company wide.

Pros

Company has a good footprint in Seattle, many happy hours and events, friendly people, flexibility, opportunity to study for certifications, coffee and snacks.

Cons

Interview process can last several months to determine if you will be a good fit for the company and a fit for available/potential projects. They have plenty of articles as a fastest growing company or the best place to work for, but there is a high turnover. My time spent interviewing was not worth the outcome. Many moving parts, skills/practice mismatch. No visibility on project opportunities to apply - you are basically left with trusting management to find a fit for your "dream" project. Noone is perfect, right? - look into the risk of not having a project, or filling in for just an ad-hoc project. Overall, you might end up underutilizing your potential and skills, or lacking knowledge leverage. They do offer free courses for different certs but it's not the same as the real experience. Management invests heavily into marketing of its "We" culture with lots of events and happy hours. It's all great but instead I'd rather have a better 401K match or unlimited free parking, especially with such a revenue growth rate!

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad that you were pleased with the work/life balance and our company culture. However, we are sorry that you had a poor experience during the interview process and felt a lack of visibility in project placement. We work hard to create an environment where our employees feel heard and supported, so we appreciate you sharing your thoughts. We want to help all our employees navigate a career path that they find interesting, challenging, and satisfying. Our career management program allows employees to pair with a career manager, set goals, and create a path for how to reach them. Career managers advocate for their mentees when necessary, and we encourage our employees to meet regularly with these managers and our resourcing leads to make sure they are placed on projects that align with the goals they’ve set. We also always strive to improve and increase the benefits we provide. As we continue to grow, we conduct an annual survey to determine which current and potential benefits are most important to our employees, then implement them as we are able. Thank you again for sharing your comments.
