Pros

Loved the culture, management, great benefits package, company parties and picnics-- but that was long long ago , free fruits, unlimited coffee and tea, bagel and breakfast days.

Cons

-impossible to move up or develop new skills. -small salary -costar took over, everything changed--LoopNet is not the same as when i've started; thus, can't judge or advice on how the company is doing now.

Pros

Glassdoor keeps bugging me to write a review and I am bored at the moment so here I go: It has been a few years since I worked at LoopNet so things can very much have very much changed. Pros: The people, I have never had so much fun working with a group of people in my life. This is a great job to have right out of college if you want to get into sales. The job is a major grind, it can really suck but that is part of what sales is, grinding. You can really work on the fundamentals of sales in this role, this is why so many other companies like to grab sales people from this company. Salesforce probably being the #1 poacher, think of LoopNet as the minors. You go here to get good at something then move on.

Cons

Cash Money: Honestly there are other companies that you can work at if you want to get into sales where you can make so much more. I went from making 50K to six figures once I left, things might be different now since Costar bought them (Who we used to throw under the bus in our sales calls) but in my time it wasn't much. Trying to live of 50k in San Francisco today if your just moving here straight out of college - forget it.

Pros

Great training, encouraging staff- even if the use some negative psychological tactics to motivate you, overall everyone means well and wants you to succeed. Team oriented environment, perks like game room, prizes for achievements, and free lunches/breakfasts.

Cons

It's sales? I don't belong in sales, so I think my review is naturally going to biased. Poor base salary, you are basically below the poverty level for SF. Sure you make commission, but that one paycheck where you don't make any or very little, it really hurts. The call time is awful, when I worked there you had to be in at exactly 7:30am. Which is great to beat the traffic, but when you're commuting (and let's be honest where else are you going to live, but far away when you make so little), it blows.
