Pros
You have the ability to take advantage of shift flexibility, voluntary time off (unpaid). You can set a schedule that is convenient with your life schedule, so your start times, break times, lunch times, and end times can be different each day of the week if needed. Working remotely from home allows me to be more present with my family. Even if you're behind a closed door while on the phone, at least you're there when your kids get home from school, when the plumber is scheduled to come by, let the dog outside. I have saved so much $ on gas by not commuting to work, even on car insurance because I drive far less than I ever have.
Cons
Working alone at home can become lonesome. I do with I had the option to work in the Indianapolis call center from time to time. 1 day a week or a couple times a month would be awesome. From what I understand, the company is closing doors on all of the Customer Care buildings, so that won't be an option. If the Customer Care Representatives had a laptop, we might have the flexibility to work from a cowork space, family members home, Air BnB, anything!
