Pros

Involvement in intriguing projects at the forefront of cutting-edge technology. The pace of work was rapid, which kept things dynamic and exciting. What stood out the most, though, were the incredibly talented individuals I had the privilege to work with. Their expertise and dedication made collaboration both stimulating and rewarding. Overall, these factors made it an enjoyable and enriching experience.

Cons

Career advancement opportunities were scarce, with a noticeable absence of structured pathways for professional growth and upward mobility. Compensation fell below industry standards, making it challenging to feel fairly rewarded for the work invested. Moreover, the company often made ambitious promises that seldom materialized, leading to disillusionment among the team. Performance reviews for compensation were inconsistent, adding to uncertainty and dissatisfaction. Managers struggled with basic people management skills and leads did not give proper credit when it was deserved. Overall, the company exhibited weak leadership, lacking clear direction and well-defined processes, contributing to a sense of disorganization and frustration.

Pros

Work environment is fantastic ( both open for communication, or personal for introverts) Supplies, and tools are readily available ( I needed a cintiq and I was given one the next day ) Daily catchup meeting across departments for each project Experienced art direction Choice of free parking downtown or paid for public transport Building includes a gym Company celebrations and drinks at least once a week The IT department was the best, and extremely helpful Ceo frequents the floors and is friendly Kitchen with free snacks

Cons

Location is a double edged sword ( Its the heart of LA, Pershing Square and also Dirty/dangerous late at night) Middle management is lackluster. There wasn't a lot of direction from colleagues; and often I had to hunt down my managers on multiple floors to ask for feedback or feedback. ( this may bee because I was a traditional artist and most employed are 3d and VFX artists ) I couldn't see and illustrator working long term in the company; I'd expect a short term contract Communication is attempted early in the morning meetings but maybe a bit too much freedom afterword's. ( I may have been an outlier because I was the only traditionally trained artist in the department; therefore in my own world I assume. ). You will be emailing people that are stationed a couple rows behind you in the office which could be better explained and described in person. Some art directors are overseas, and I had no communication whatsoever. Depending on your position in the company it can feel a little isloating.
