Pros

It is refreshing to work for a company that encourages growth within. With the numerous training opportunities and friendly competitions between communities, there is no reason to be stagnant. When looking for positions to fill, they take into consideration consistency of excelling performance. Many employees are under the impression that you have to be best friends with the executive team, but I am a perfect example that your hard work will get you far with the right attitude.

Cons

There needs to be more consistency, not only on property level, but corporate as well. For example, it is great to receive feedback, but if it is inconsistently sent out, it is easy to miss the opportunity to encourage an employees great achievements. I know that on property level, we are working on consistency between communities by implementing training classes on everyday tasks. This makes it a smoother transition when either filling in or transferring to another community.

Pros

Mark-Taylor is very good about promoting within! It may take some time for a promotion but if you work hard enough and voice your goals to your manager, it will happen! MT is also big on training; they definitely give you the tools to help you succeed! Online training with videos and quizzes to keep you updated with Fairhousing. Also classes are availble taught by some veteran managers (phone techniques, closing a sale, reporting)

Cons

Some departments need to be expanded. HR is extremely small and it is almost impossible to get things altered in a timely fashion (changes to insurance, pay)

Pros

The company does things for the community that few companies do. Working for Mark Taylor is something to be proud of. The work is fulfilling and important. Your helping people find their perfect home. The interactions with people daily are fun and everyday brings something new. The company takes care of their employees. Pay is good and the ability to move up and grow is available. I really have nothing but great things to say about my company. I sought out this job to work for this company and I am so happy I did. I made the right career choice.

Cons

I truly have nothing negative to say about Mark Taylor.
