Pros

Was good back in the JLT days before this mob took over and turned it in to an American corporate nightmare I suppose the office was alright If nothing else it’s a good name to have on the CV before getting out of there and working at a company that treats you like a human

Cons

- The amount of nepotism going on at this place was unbelievable. Lost track of the amount of people promoted beyond their abilities because their dad or uncle was a Chairman, CEO or Director of another company in the industry or a different division. - Pay is dreadful and completely inconsistent. Junior employees being paid more than the mid-level staff training them in some instances!! - Will work you like a dog with no regard for your health. They’d have you in 7 days a week and on Christmas Day if they could. You won’t get any thanks for it, just expect to be rewarded with even more work. - 11/12 hour days are the norm, not enough staff to meet client demands. They actually had an incident whilst I was there in which an underwriter wrote to the business because was genuinely concerned for a colleagues wellbeing who had sent an email in at 02:00am. - Loads of people off with stress - Marsh will be supportive at first and promise to look after you, but after a few weeks things will go back to how they were. - Ridiculous amounts of compliance and over-regulation (most of the compliance staff are incompetent too and wouldn’t get a job anywhere else in the business). Can take months to actually get an account booked and money in because of the jobsworths there.
