Pros

Good pay for an entry-level job for a college graduate. Always enticing.

Cons

Upper management does not care about the people in “lower” positions. What happened to the “team” everyone preached about when we were new hires? Too many old white men in high positions.

Pros

-Leadership has been excellent during the pandemic. They did not cut our salaries and I am not aware of any layoffs. -Flexible work schedule (telecommuting). More time yourself and family is a win-win. -Solid Fringe Benefits. -Autonomy (No micromanagement) -Generous Tuition Assistance. -Company pays for professional development/designations. -Plenty of internal opportunities.

Cons

-Long-term compensation. Negotiate well before accepting an offer. -Too many legacy systems and archaic processes. -Company lacks a consistent training and onboarding process for new hires. -Certain departments are not adequately staffed. -Depending on which department you work for, mid-career employees might feel like underappreciated assets.
