Pros

Great Comradery. Great benefits with 401k, pension, commuter savings, and better than average maternity/paternity leave. It is a larger company so there is a greater wealth of knowledge and tools available to you and your clients. Company encourages volunteering and philanthropy.

Cons

Larger employer with the requisite "red tape" for many business process. Salary is below average for the Silicon Valley/Bay Area.

Pros

Best in class brokerage. Work life balance with minimal performance expectations. Plenty of resources. Top talent at top but weak talent in support roles.

Cons

Sales focus that has turned attention from employee growth and development to production. Comp structure focused on production and incentives not well aligned

Pros

Get the opportunity to work with very smart people Great benefits Room for growth

Cons

Pay is less than our competitors. I had a lot of colleagues leave for other brokers or carriers for singificant higher pay. Overworked, management does not stick with company restructures and initiatives. Too many changes.
