Pros

Good training, get the training and leave

Cons

I saw black colleagues ridiculed behind their backs, not considered for promotion and witnessed one of the senior directors imply that black faces do not fit. This company does not deserve ethnic minorities, there are better places to work!

Pros

You will have lots of autonomy and flexibility.

Cons

Worst onboarding and training program I ever experienced in my career. There is no formal training program. Coworkers are too busy to help. The working environment is very chaotic, disorganized and lack's structure. It is not a welcoming environment; it is more competitive than collaborative.

Pros

many tools across the business to assist with a broad range of risk issues. experienced specialists do training sessions frequently via zoom. bearable if you have a team of nice people like i did. its a hit or miss situation going in blind -ask about your team's turnover.

Cons

very little diversity in leadership roles. women and people of colour are highly concentrated and remain in entry level and low salary titles for a long time. men are invited to networking events and progress quickly. diversity and inclusion initiatives are performative and toothless.

Pros

- Marsh has good people and great benefits. - Great networking opportunities within the company. - Lots of opportunity for growth, and training programs for professional development. - Leadership development and upskilling. - Marsh works wth several fortune 500 companies - you will have excellent exposure if you work here.

Cons

- Bureaucratic red-tape, time & energy is lost due to the size of the company and ineffective implentation of change - Lots of time for any directives to move through the chain of command. - Even more time for implementaton of change in the way they do things. - In a company of this size, it's hard to be recognized for making an impact. Lots of political strife & differences in opinion amongst key people in different departments. - Inter-departmental communication is lacking or not there at all. One department may be well informed of resources and policy changes, yet other departments may be following policies that were put nto place 5-10 years ago and are not aware of any other way of doing things. - A hiring decision can take forever and you will never hear back/potentially be ghosted even if you interview internally. They will cite hiring freezes.

Pros

Stable and profitable co. with proven track record.

Cons

Employees are managed in a very hands-off clinical way. Top management not hands-on or involved and in it for themselves. In-house training non-existant.
