Pros

Is a commission only sales position so you do enjoy the benefits associated with a position like this. --Make your own schedule --Little involvement from Management --If you sell, your income potential is unlimited

Cons

The entire industry tries to disguise the true nature of the position. You are there for one reason, that reason is to sell life insurance policies. Yet, that's never said in any of your interviews, you are told you are there to "help" clients, you are able to sell many products, and so on. While there is some true to those things. Your primary and secondary responsibility is to sell life insurance policies. If you sell, your experience will be awesome. If you do not, not so much.

Pros

MassMutual offers a great deal of agent support. There are little restrictions on how you go about your business, so long as you meet compliance requirements. For self-motivated individuals, this is a great way to kick-off a career in financial planning. First two years are stipend to supplement your income and the build-up of residual income allows you to grow your annual income based on your performance.

Cons

You much be self-motivated and disciplined to be successful in this particular industry. While they provide many different training programs, you are still ultimately responsible for building your own practice. By accepting the stipend, you are subject to sales requirements and quotas.

Pros

Work Life Balance Pay for tuition Strong financials and very stable

Cons

Performance reviews are subjective and not tied to results IT Management has no vision, creativity or skills and very little IT experience. They believe all of their direct reports who also have very little IT experience.. Company is not flexible, adaptable or efficient. Business clients all use their own desired technology as it is not being centrally driven by the CIO. The CIO moved to his position because of the old boy's club
