Lack of leadership from upper management. Young development teams that are not mentored

Pros

Very difficult to get fired. You can basically show up and do very little and the longer you stay, you’ll get promoted. But if you outshine, instead of being rewarded, you get punished for it.

Cons

Lack of strong leadership at upper management, no drive and direction. Leadership team has their own private agendas that don’t align with visions. Current technology is ColdFusion which holds the young development teams back from being innovative. The user experience of the software is horrible and unusable. Customers pay to be trained on how to use the applications. That’s right you read this correctly. Not a safe environment to work in. I could keep going but you get the jist.
