Pros

Fast moving company with tons of potential. Truly care about the employees. Sales group is growing quickly therefore increased opportunity for personal growth.

Cons

Company is growing so fast not all tools are in place but they're getting there. Salesforce is a critical tool for the success of the team and constantly looking for add-on's to SF to make the process more efficient

Pros

Matterport already has consistent revenue despite the fact that they have not even pulled all potential revenue levers yet. How many startups can claim that? Engineering team is incredibly smart & talented. Other teams are good too. Company is hiring experienced people to help catalyze growth and organize chaos. Team + product is very well positioned to grow in its domain. This is the right time to get on this rocket ship.

Cons

Sometimes management appears too conservative. Lots of discussion on opportunities but slow to act. They should hire more aggressively, launch features more aggressively, go after markets more aggressively - even if it means raising another larger round to fuel this growth.

Pros

Fantastic team that is changing the way space is viewed and consumed. Very smart founders and executive team that are doing the right things to profitably grow the company very fast. The technology is simply amazing plus it is very easy to use. While there are a lot of pieces to the Matterport puzzle, they have the right people all pulling in the same direction. Matterport has outgrown their HQ, so they have invested in new space for the team. Fully catered team lunches and of course a fully stocked kitchen. While the offices are full of smart successful people, new team members are warmly greeted and quickly become part of the Matterport team. Matterport takes their culture very seriously. Most of the interview process is focused on how the individual fits into the culture, instead of what they have done. This is because as a start up, no matter how well the game plan is laid out, it will change and as a small team each member has to be willing to jump on and do whatever it takes to help the company succeed.

Cons

Really, not much at all. But remember Matterport is a start up that has hit on a mass opportunity and is scaling quickly. There will be growing pains, especially on how the culture is maintained, but leadership is really focused on it, and really does care about every member of the team. Matterport is benefiting from the creative chaos, but it is still chaos so if you are not comfortable with rapid change that could be a concern.
