Working at Maven was the best decision of my career!

Pros

In the year and half I was at Maven I can honestly say I've never had as much fun or learned as much. The people are super smart, motivated, and caring. I left Maven to start my own company and I can honestly say if it wasn't for Maven I'd never have the confidence and experience to do it. Maven is now letting me sublet space from them as I grow my own company. It's hard to imagine another company doing something like that for a former employee. Maven feels like a family to me!

Cons

People who can't adjust to fast paced environments might have trouble at Maven because it's growing so fast. The hours are actually pretty good for NYC standards (9 to 6 or 7), but if you're not productive during that time they're pretty quick to let you go.

- Amazing mission, and really clear alignment of Maven's business model to impact on this mission. - Passionate, innovative and charismatic CEO and leader - Great team of people who care about improving women's health - The company is at the point of tackling really hard data and product problems and has the resources to make an impact

Cons

- It's still a startup so there is a lot of change — redeveloping of process, responsibilities, and goals. If you go into Maven clear-eyed and understand that the company is still growing with an amazing opportunity in front of them, this will be ok. If you expect everything to be solved, and to just take orders, this can be difficult.
