Women's healthcare is an exciting mission and there are some great people on the team.

Cons

I've never seen so much bullying and gossiping in a professional environment, and almost all of it stems from the CEO. I saw a lot of great employees fall out of her favor, usually for not meeting her always-changing standards, and be made to feel like they were incompetent and unimportant. It usually ended with them getting so demoralized or fed up that they left before they could get fired. Generally seemed like people with the smallest amount of direct exposure to her were the happiest (sales and IT always seemed fine).

Brand recognition. Social impact on consumer health (though that is diminishing)

Cons

Toxic culture. Lack of trust has become a cancer-starting from the top down (CEO loves to see people working long hours for no known reason, praises anyone who constantly says “yes” to her, talks negatively about employees she doesn’t like, sometimes in an effort to push them out.) Clique-y.

My favorite part about working at Maven is that it's truly a mission-driven company that works every day to provide access to health care. It's in the job descriptions they post, but it really is central to all decisions. The people I work with are smart and kind, and I learn new things from them all the time. There is no stupid question, and I'm excited to come in each day!

Cons

I don't have cons to list. I will note it's important to be flexible and adaptable to be happy working here!
