Pros

Company model and process is well thought out. Mavis holds customer service expectations to a high standard by giving store level management power to make decisions and exceptions within reason. Volume based business makes for easy sales creating fast paced days.

Cons

These cons may only apply to my current store / area. Upper management priority's are highly flawed. Pushing lower management to make more sales and maximize profits is a no brainier. What I need from them is the tools to do it. On challenging days they will call several times a day to remind us we are failing. This would be fine !IF! they called to discuss the challenges we are facing at that moment and offering help / advise / tools to improve the situation. On an already challenged day of call outs, comebacks and various issues needing attention the last thing I need is to be harassed about selling more power steering flushes.

Pros

The pay was awesome, but at an expense.

Cons

I will be as brief as possible. After going over a year without a customer complaint, we were bombarded with complaints after only a month or so under Mavis. Business began to drop off after about 4 months. This is not a customer oriented company. It did not take long for customers to notice changes that were not in their favor. They took the complimentary popcorn and coffee away from my customers. And tried to not honor warranties that customers had Sun Tire invoices for. To any potential Mavis employee in the south: If you are not a part of the original Kauffman Tire company (01/18 acquisition), do yourself a favor and AVOID Mavis Southeast LLC! Your talent will get you nowhere! This region is headed by a Kauffman guy and he definitely supports his people (regardless of the talent level). Unfortunately, I had to leave after 6 months of being in the Mavis system. It is unfortunate, because I would have never left Sun Tire. We had several long term employees. Several of us have left this company. Sad I could go on and on.

Pros

They don’t drug test or conduct background checks simply because you have to be high to work there. Yes, that is the only Pro to this company.

Cons

I wish a negative rating was an option. Pay plan is nowhere near their competitors. Turnover is unbelievable. Technology is from the 80’s (DOT Matrix Printers & AS400 POS system), Micromanaging, high pressure, don’t care about employees or customers, etc, etc, etc. I could go on for days. The worst company I have ever been associated with.
