Pros

Ability to work in schools. Lots of ways to make up hours you've lost through sub sessions. Always quick to communicate.

Cons

My supervisor for my school case is within the school district, not the company so I'm in this weird in between area where at times I have to go through the company to ask about hours or to her things just to have the supervisor in the school district contact me about it. Also, I was told that my school case would be year around (some may do home care when school is not in session) but I found out that it wasn't. I tried to get on on a home case temporarily for the summer but was told you need to commit to at least a year with a client So I had to try to fill my time with sub sessions. Did not have much training going into my school case.

Pros

Great PTO and servant-leadership model in upper management.

Cons

Recruiter trainee period is 6 months and completely unnecessary. Being on-call some weekday nights is easily the worst part of this job!

Pros

Build Relationships Makes you get out of your comfort zone Entry to the Recruiting industry

Cons

Low Pay compared to other Recruiter positions Terrible work-life balance No sense of transparency Upper management does not fully understand each department 24/7 On-Call This is a good position if you are fresh out of college and need a job ASAP. HOWEVER, if you are interested to become a Recruiter in the tech industry, do not work for Maxim as I have learned that they do not count Healthcare Recruiting as experience. My tenure at Maxim Healthcare has been tiring, stressful, and not positive. There were a lot of turnover (+10 in 6 months) due to lack of transparency from Upper Management and layoffs. If you do not perform as a Recruiter, then you will be let go without notice and without training. The office I worked in, the Upper Management was not fully aware of what each department entailed. He only understood Homecare, which obviously played favoritism. Upper Management needs to understand and listen to their employees to thrive in a fast paced industry. Maxim Healthcare also needs to improve on their technology. We were still utilizing Internet Explorer, ATS seemed outdated, no laptops (which means you can NEVER work from home), and lastly the on-call phone was from the 90's. You can barely understand the person that was calling. Maxim does not care about their employees hence the HIGH turnover and I believe that nothing will ever change. Steer clear and join a company that actually values your input and suggestions without getting fired. You will not receive a promotion unless someone is fired or leaves. If you are a Recruiter, you can only move to an Account Manager (not much more pay), or a Business Development Manager role (Sales) --- Be weary, if you do not produce, you will be terminated

Good morning. We are sorry to hear about your negative experience at Maxim. Maxim has promoted many recruiters in the past several years, especially those who've asked for job and leadership training. Yes, there are times sales and customer service reps will be on call, which is necessary for our dedicated caregivers that work around the clock. Working remotely is an option with a login, as well. Again, we are sorry to hear about your unfavorable experience. Good luck on your future endeavors. Regards - Steven
