Pros

Lots of training, reliable schedule with opportunities for overtime, career growth potential, competitive compensation, profit sharing, good benefits. A company culture that cares about and counts on input from all employes. Executive leadership takes the time to meet with all new employees to get to know them and discuss company history, values, and culture.

Cons

Long hiring process (although they do a pretty good job of selecting good coworkers). Depending on your location or assignment the environment can be stressful.

Pros

The employees at Mechdyne are great to work with. Everyone is very friendly and willing to help out wherever they can. Teammates are spread out throughout the world providing different insights and experiences to every project. Although they are head-quartered in Marshalltown, IA, they have many employees who work from their home office. The support and flexibility is great. No week is ever the same so the experience gained can be exceptional.

Cons

Workload can be heavy and unrealistic at times, but I have found that to be true at other successful organizations as well.

Pros

They had potential...but the loss and firing/laying off of employees is a standard there.

Cons

You always have to watch your back because it is a very close knit group out of Marshaltown and if you don't fit even after all the testing you will be gone. They say they value you but in the end...they really don't. Mechdyne burns through people...except for the original founders and engineers who all went to college together. I left a good job with a Public Company with good benefits to take a job with Mechdyne and they let me go with no reason at all. No bad performance review at all.
