Pros
CEO is AMAZING!!! He knows (and addresses) lower-level employees by name and often walks around to "check" on his folks. Never worked for a more sincere, genuine CEO. -Company is transitioning operationally big-time so the possibility for growth is there -Allowed to work remotely (sometimes, depending on your department) -Exposure to different levels of work -Some level of job-security
Cons
-I believe the #1 problem with MedQuest is culture-the culture here has diminished from being a "family-feel, supportive, engaging community" to an under-cutting, secretive, disrespectful and unprofessional (in particular departments) environment. -Favoritism-across the board-is a HUGE problem here. The company is small/mid-sized, so the cliche is very fitting "it's not what you know but who you know". Many people (whom I cannot state by title due to GD's guidelines) have received promotions STRICTLY due to their longevity -NOT PERFORMANCE. Some of them do not have college degrees but have received senior level promotion. The job descriptions are altered and "ridiculously created" to make it "possible" to give people promotion whether they've truly earned it (through performance) or not. There is no real standard of excellence. -No communication between management and employees -Dishonesty among upper management/lack of trust between management and employees -Unprofessional/disrespect is a common practice from many in finance and development.
