Pros

* WFH options * Like new equipment * Pay * Great healthcare benefits for the price

Cons

* Mangers/supervisors gaslight you (example: will tell you that you are doing great in meetings but will turn around a write you up). * HR does not help if you are having conflict with your leadership. * leadership uses “push out” tactics that is taught to them by HR. * Leadership can/will lie or even overexaggerate claims brought against you and HR will not talk with you about it or investigate claims fully. * leadership gives you no time to get better at your job, they instead write you up.

Pros

When I first started at Medica it was wonderful. The CEO was involved and everything was local. When members called in they were speaking to reps in the area. Benefits were wonderful, PTO, VTO, paid holidays, flex holiday, and affordable insurance,

Cons

Expanded way to rapidly and CEO was replaced. The new CEO is cleaning house and outsourcing as much as possible.

Pros

Decent benefits, onsite workout facility. HR is very nice and good pay.

Cons

No training at all. No classes, no material, no mentor, nothing!! The company is not trending toward a good work life balance, you must be there from x time to x time each day or you get a dirty look and there are no work from home opportunities. The company is very slow moving, do not expect a fast paced work environment. Culture is very poor. Most people have worked at the company for a long time - which isn't a bad thing, but they all eat lunch at their desk, no happy hours and not very much day to day socializing. The meetings I attended were very awkward, especially with higher up management. Multiple times I heard people pass blame onto other departments or people during meetings. I was called out in front of people during meetings about topics I didn't have knowledge of yet due to lack of training. It appears that people get into management by how long they have been at the company not because they are good leaders or because they would be successful in the position. This leads to very poor management and no one to help you achieve your goals. There were a lot of politics - who you know was a big deal. Overall most of the people in the company were rude. Most people seemed like they did not want to be there. When you walk in the hall way don't except a smile unless you have met the person multiple times or are working closely with them. It is a very hierarchy based company, if you are not a direct report to someone the majority of the time they will act like you don't exist.
