Pros

My group is really great all the way up through the Director The healthcare benefits are great

Cons

Upper management has been leading the company into a hole for years now. Changes (i.e. MaaS) are poorly executed with little to no regard for the actual employees supporting the company. We have been given the same talking point of "heading in the right direction" for ~10 years, and yet have seen continuous poor management at the expense of the employees. They don't pay enough, and don't care about the employee.

Pros

Requires almost no experience once graduating college. The people at the lower/entry levels are typically hard-working and earnest. There's options for upward promotions.

Cons

This is not the place to restart your career. Everyone is underpaid and overworked. They burnout staff quickly. There is no team mentality, no support system if things aren't working in your role. Upper management is completely out of touch with lower levels of company. Management is intentionally ignorant of issues and will try to convince you that you are wrong. Management is given so little training in how to manage people that the same issues repeat once a group leaves and a new one starts. The company benefits and incentives have shrunk, year after year. There is very little company pride or energy. There are rarely opportunities for growth and development. Forced back into the office despite legitimate personal and family health concerns.

Pros

At this point there aren't many pros left. The health insurance is good but that's about it.

Cons

All of my criticisms are of the new CEO. The CEO is now Michelle O Connor. To say that upper management (CEO) is out of touch is an insult to people who are out of touch. She is on another planet. She doesn't trust any of her staff and all of her decisions reflect this. After proving that staff can work remotely and productively she chooses to force us back into offices. The only reasoning is for "community." It doesn't even matter if your entire team works in another time zone, you have to return. Gone are the days of having holidays off. These were stripped to give us more PTO. While we still get the major holidays off, fighting with your teams to get other holidays off will be a thing now. Those of us who were hired and had the paid holidays as a benefit had them removed. Salaries are WELL below industry standard. After 10 years working here, I am still 30-50k less than the industry standard. Pitiful raises and new hires coming in at slightly less than tenured staff is leading to high turnaround rates. Proprietary languages hold back talented staff. After being in the company for several years, one would have to go back and revisit other languages in order to feel comfortable applying for other positions Time tracking your EVERY move. They adopted a system called Insight (formerly "time machine" that accounts for every minute of your day. Supposedly not to nitpick everything you do, but they are definitely monitoring every minute of your day.
