Pros

- Decent coworkers (depending on the department) - involved in interesting research - I gained valuable skills for my current job and it looks good on a resume

Cons

-Horrible pay -Some of the doctors are very unkind and borderline bullies that run unchecked because of their value -you will be blamed/chastised for technical issues provably out of your control and not of your doing -promotion is pushed back even if you perform exceptionally well. If they tell you on hire 12 month to promotion expect 2 years -You cannot get overtime, but will be handed work that cannot be completed in time even as an efficient worker. -Company is unwilling to adopt remote work in a consistent way, despite most work involving teams meetings even with folks in local office and pushing teams to email or private message rather than go to someone’s desk (not to mention global teams where all correspondence is via laptop with 0 in person interactions) - I knew 5 people from my graduating class that worked there—none of us lasted a full year. All of us quit with stellar performance reviews. The work itself is rewarding, but company culture is soul sucking.

Pros

Very nice building and work space. Nice little store to buy food at for lunch. Great location for an office. The work is very easy.

Cons

Have to take 30 minute unpaid lunch break, but cannot take longer. You start off hourly, and they micromanage your time. You have to be within the exact minute for 40 hours each week. There is no work from home option when you first start, even if you are sick or are not feeling well. You have to take vacation time if your sick days go over the ones you are given. I am pretty sure I had covid but didn't get tested and still came to work because I needed the money. Most of the positions are able to have remote capabilities when employees are not feeling well. Also, the hourly pay is less than full time Amazon workers.

Thank you for your feedback. We are saddened to hear you did not have a good experience with Medpace. During the interview process, we try to be as transparent as possible regarding the job responsibilities, benefits, flexibility, and expectations of each individual role. We have multiple levels structured within each position in order to provide a way for our associates to have opportunities for advancement. We are also very proud to implement a hybrid work-from-home policy for most employees. Additionally, we provide PTO and flex time to ensure we create a flexible environment for a workforce with diverse needs. More importantly, paid sick time is available to all associates and no one even needs to choose between following Medpace and CDC guidance and remaining home when they are sick. Certainly we are disappointed to hear that you put the health of your coworkers at risk rather than use sick days. As a healthcare company, we recognize the severity of the virus which is why we are following all guidance given by the CDC and state of Ohio and where additional accommodations are needed associates are encouraged to contact their HR Representative. Although your salary didn’t meet your expectations, we can assure you that we do consistently evaluate compensation and benefits on an annual basis in order to remain competitive in the industry. We understand that Medpace may not be a fit for everyone, and we are okay with that. We wish you the best in your future endeavors.

We are saddened to hear you didn’t enjoy your time with Medpace. In this uncertain time of COVID-19, we have had to make some very difficult decisions (just like most other organizations). We are learning as we go and adapting our best practices based on the information available at the time decisions need to be made. During COVID our global teams have worked remotely or on staggered schedules depending on local circumstances and government guidance. As we have returned to our in-office schedules we have been very pleased to implement a new remote work policy which has allowed some remote work to continue under a hybrid plan of both in office and remote work. Although your salary didn’t meet your expectations, we can assure you that we do consistently evaluate compensation and benefits on an annual basis in order to remain competitive in the industry. We understand that Medpace may not be a fit for everyone, and wish you the best in your future endeavors.
