Pros

- Training Program - Gym on campus - Company Sponsored events - Events to meet co workers (most are young and recent college graduates)

Cons

- Toxic Work Environment created by leaders (CTMs/CRA Managers) within clinical operations. - Fear of being fired at all times -Aggressive, non constructive feedback - Poor work life balance ( operation managers will tell you how important this is when they see you logging countless hours and tell you to take a break. Then the next day they will complain to your manager about how your work isn’t done)

Thank you for leaving a review! We are glad to hear about your positive experience. We are very proud of our collaborative and flexible culture, as well as the training and growth opportunities at Medpace. The majority of our Interns are university students and although interns may not enjoy the traditional benefits associated with full-time employment, we offer lots of opportunity to learn the CRO industry and potentially an introduction to the start of a career with Medpace. Many of our leaders today were once interns too! We hope that all interns find value in their time with us and gain experience in their area of focus. Your insight is appreciated, especially as we continue to expand our internship opportunities. We appreciate your feedback :-)

Pros

Good training program to get you in the clinical research industry. They will train you and get you up to speed. The training can be challenging for some based on your education and exposure to sciences.

Cons

Terrible pay, CEO is very odd, culture is very trigger happy with firing people. High stress at times. Value pharmacist CRAs at ~25-30k more than an average CRA, despite you both doing the same job.

We are glad to hear you enjoyed the training program Medpace provides. Training is extremely important for all new employees given the regulations and high standards we have within the CRO industry and we are very proud of our PACE (Professionals Achieving CRA Excellence) program. We have a designated team that reviews compensation benchmarks to ensure we are constantly aligned with the market and remain competitive in the industry. We recognize that we’re going through a major growth period. While it’s an exciting time for the company, with that comes growing pains. Last year alone, we grew by nearly 25%. We are working hard to bring great new employees to the company and we are continually building an environment that meets the needs of a workforce with diverse needs. We are sorry to hear Medpace was not a fit for you, but wish you well in your future endeavors.

Pros

Drinking events once a month, hire new grads

Cons

Very toxic upper management with high turnover rate. Managers do not care about your professional development or anything going on in your personal life, you are just a number to them that can easily be replaced. They swear by their PACE training program that does nothing but stress you out and does very little to prepare you for what you will actually experience in the real world. If you perform somewhat poorly on even one of the mock visits, forget even having a chance to explain yourself, you are out the door. This place is a revolving door simply because upper management gives no regard for their employees. They offer significantly lower than industry standard starting salaries and justify that by hiring new grads and using them as cheap labor. They claim you'll get a significant raise after a year but it takes much longer than that and you'll still be making less than what you would be making at another CRO. I advise any new grad to stay away from Medpace, but if you are absolutely desperate for a job, take it for training purposes but field offers from other CRO's while you are there. Now this post may get a response that says "we understand that the high standards to which we ask our employees to excel at are not for everyone" or "it is apparent Medpace is not the best fit for you" or some other HR bs but there is a reason there are so many negative posts about this company and that is because Medpace has no idea how to treat its people.

While we disagree with much of your review you are correct on a couple of points -- we have very high standards and it is obvious that Medpace is not the best fit for you! We don’t shy away from the fact that the PACE program provides rigorous training and that we are expecting the best of the best. We realize that sometime people join and then find that this is not the program for them. It doesn’t happen often but when it does often that’s the best outcome for Medpace and the candidate. Those that complete the program and continue to advance here are rewarded with career advancement and commiserate compensation recognition including our highly valued CRA equity program. We appreciate the opportunity to provide new graduates with meaningful and challenging work as well as the opportunity to get to know their colleagues in social settings and on-campus events. We wish you the best of luck in your next endeavor.

Thank you for the feedback. We pride ourselves in providing our employees with experience and giving them proper training to grow within the industry and in their careers. We’re sorry to hear that you found the routine to be stressful. While we work in a fast paced environment and industry, we hope that employees are able to take their specific concerns to the manager or HR representative to discuss further and to get the support that they may need. It sounds like Medpace may not have been a fit for you, and we wish you luck in your future endeavors.

Thank you for your review. We are happy to hear you enjoyed our state of the art facilities and your role at Medpace including the training program. Medpace provides initial and ongoing training for our CRAs through our PACE (Professionals Achieving CRA Excellence) program. This is highly valued in our organization due to the collaboration it provides between our CRAs and management. We promote a culture focused on positivity, collaboration, and flexibility. Medpace does not promote or tolerate a culture of gossip and negativity. We encourage all employees who see this to address the issue head on, speak to their manager, or contact their HR representative. We appreciate your feedback!
