Perfect Place to Start

Pros

Meeting Tomorrow was the perfect place to start my career. They spend a lot of time, energy, and money working on personal development. Many companies talk about "family" when talking about culture, but Meeting Tomorrow fully embraces this mindset. Every person in the company from the CEO down works to make you feel welcome from your first day to your last, including every common weekday in between. They also focus on the client and work backward from there. They look for all interactions (client, suppliers, and employees) to be a win-win engagement.

Cons

The small community feel is great but lends itself to some challenges. Just like many companies it's size, Meeting Tomorrow has trouble with career growth and compensation. Many of the leaders are fairly young and not moving anywhere anytime soon. Additionally, teams and roles tend to be fairly agile but the shift in daily functions can hurt when promotion time comes around.

The "culture" is not how you think it is...

Pros

Two dogs, young people, some fun events.

Cons

Poor management, lack of leadership. No opportunities to advance your career, get further training etc. Make promises but do not follow through. No flexible work hours due to demand and needing to respond to needs. Lots of turnover.

Pros

Every person I work with is a good egg. I'm consistently challenged in my job, and I've grown both professionally and personally throughout my time here. Major decisions made by management are always filtered through our core values: commitment, kindness and humility. That may sound hokey, but it means we make thoughtful decisions, always with the company and employees' best interest in mind.

Cons

Because we're smaller, we don't have as clear career paths as you'd find in larger companies. Growth has typically been dictated by one's own initiative, provided there are real opportunities available. However, I know that carving clearer growth opportunities for people here is a priority for senior management, so I'm confident this will be met with the same thoughtfulness we give any other challenge.
