Awful place to work, like a dickensian workhouse only not run as well

The other staff, sadly that's it, and none of them last very long there is such a high staff turnover here

Management are awful, there really is no proper structure. The company is run by the owner who actually beleives that an environment of fear is the best environment possible and doesn't skimp on dishing out verbal dressing downs and tantrums. The management below him are terrified and just playing politics just to keep their jobs. There is a culture of finger pointing and apportioning blame to divert attention. Bullying is rife, they seem to have a policy of hiring then firing or bullying staff out before probation periods are up. Since I have been in service here I have seen at least 25 staff come and go the company has about 50 full time staff to put this into perspective, I've seen some shocking bullying. Needless to say I'm off out of here ASAP. From a business perspective, they find it hard to compete price wise (every new project is like starting from scratch therefore very expensive) the lack of staff retention means accounts and projects cannot be managed consistently or at all properly. It is a shame as the offering is quite innovative and useful, sadly the lack of morale and the impossible situation most staff are placed in I cant see a future for this company, or their offering. It might survive if a proper company purchased it and implemented a proper and effective management structure and stopped the needless bullying by the few at the top and the lack of direction.
