Pros

One hour lunch to get out of there. The engagement events are nice shoutout to the person who plans those. They were fun and got me close to my coworkers. I still talk and hangout with all my old coworkers they're some of the kindest and sweetest people I have ever met.

Cons

Please do not work here because you will be traumatized by incompetent uneducated people while you are probably lightyears ahead of them in literal common sense. I'd suggest getting pressure/experience from a respectable law firm. You will be led by bitter, combative, insecure people who will never trust you. It says more about them than your competence and work so do not let it affect you. You are probably very smart and doing great. They let you know you're replaceable which is scary at first, but the only reason they know you're replaceable is because everyone quits and they have to replace you. If a mistake (by anyone) is made, management will not assume responsibility and target all lower level employees. Rather than politely talk about what happened, they will interrogate you. Mistakes made by other satellite offices and other team members will at times if not every time be your fault. They like to pit employees against each other but do not let it affect you or the other employee. Most of your direct coworkers are humanitarian and social justice focused so do not stoop down to management's level. The Austin office severely lacks competent leadership personnel but I assume that's why HQ hasn't fired them--easy to control! Nobody who works there likes working there unless they have been struggling to find a job for years. Most people who end up here are entry-level college kids who definitely deserve better and will always leave, hence the high turnover. They will use you to advance their agenda and have very questionable practices for a law firm. Do not get involved in this. It's best if you leave like the rest of us. Be brave and good luck.

The good reviews are a lie.

Pros

You will learn enough to make it sound good on your resume for your next opportunity.

Cons

My experience at this company was extremely challenging due to a consistently unstable and high-stress work environment. Employee turnover was very high, with many employees being terminated without clear communication or explanation, which created ongoing anxiety across teams. This was not limited to one department; it appeared to be a company-wide issue. Promises regarding benefits, including a 401(k), were communicated for an extended period (years according to other reviews) but were never implemented during my time there. Employees felt discouraged from asking questions, raising concerns, or providing feedback, and doing so often resulted in negative consequences. The culture strongly emphasized “overachievement,” but this often translated into excessive workloads without appropriate compensation, recognition, or support. Advancement and raises were inconsistent, and in some cases increased responsibilities resulted in longer hours without meaningful improvement in overall compensation. Management frequently took credit for team contributions, specifically marketing concerning the director, and there was little psychological safety for employees to express ideas, concerns, or individuality. The environment discouraged collaboration and trust, and many employees felt fearful of speaking openly due to the risk of sudden termination. Cameras and microphones are monitored excessively for this. While I gained some professional experience during my time here, I would not recommend this company to someone seeking stability, transparency, or a supportive work culture. This may be a short-term option for those needing experience, but it was not a healthy or sustainable environment in the long term.

Pros

Better than average pay, Good benefits.

Cons

A vibe that can best be described as "creepy". A morning rally that is a mix of boiler plate company propaganda and Tony Robbins videos. Many questionable practices. Employees are only allowed to talk to each under certain circumstances.
