Pros

MetroHealth has been a place where I have been able to grow both personally and professionally. I feel that I have a great sense of autonomy in the work that I do and am supported by leadership. During the COVID-19 pandemic MetroHealth we had to make changes very quickly to prepare for the worst, we quickly adapted to remote work and new technologies, and even became stronger and more connected in our teams. On site, safety was the primary concern and MetroHealth did an amazing job at ensuring all our of staff and patients were safe by ensuring everyone had access to masks and proper PPE; we conduct temperature checks of employees and patients entering our sites and have increased cleaning measures. We've continued to Additionally, MetroHealth was one of the few healthcare systems in the nation to not lay off or furlough employees during the crisis, and were even able to give a general increase raise to all of their non union employees. MetroHealth also has great benefits including amazing health insurance, investment options, and great vacation and sick time policies.

Pros

There’s no question that all hospitals were challenged by the arrival of COVID19. I was so glad we had Dr. Boutros as our leader when the virus slapped us in the face. Of utmost importance to Dr. Boutros is the safety and well-being of everyone in the MetroHealth family and he remains committed to keeping our patients, staff, and visitors safe throughout this entire ordeal. Under his leadership, ALL employees (not just those in direct patient care areas) were provided with masks; all employees were kept abreast of the impact the virus had on our operations; all employees were able to keep their jobs with some being reassigned to different areas so they weren’t laid off or furloughed. And while other hospitals were rescinding wage increases, Dr. Boutros made sure employees received theirs in recognition of their hard work, loyalty, and dedication. During this very challenging time, it feels good to know that Dr. Boutros has our backs!

Cons

There are no downsides to being part of the MetroHealth family!
