A completely management driven company

Pros

Good people to work with who are not management. A good product that helps people worldwide. Senior employees (before the move) are knowledgeable and helpful in learning about the product and processes.

Cons

Management is myopic to employee needs. Dedicated employees are not valued. Bias between internal divisions creates a hostile work environment. Management does not communicate with shop floor workers or production employees. Management would rather hire outside of the company than promote qualified individuals from within. They overlook experience for degrees that do not matter. When the new building was implemented, and multiple companies were merged into one location, there was obvious favoritism; available positions were filled with friends of management. No attention to quality. No SOPs, defined processes, or work instructions - most things are tribal knowledge and change from day to day. Mass exodus of former (good) employees for new jobs has occurred.

Pros

They have employee perks, but they mostly are only good for the people living in the surrounding area.

Cons

Lack of communication, and just keep piling on the work. When I got hired I'm sure there was a job description, but that seems to have gotten thrown out the window. Management is known for blaming you for other peoples mistakes. I am in training right now and the lady that trains me keeps emailing my manager telling them I am making all of these mistakes. How do they expect someone to be successful and happy in their positions if the trainee is going behind your back and making you feel like a complete failure. Plus I have been given so much work that I am drowning trying to get my work finished. I would NOT recommend anyone come here and work. If you wanted to be treated like you are not appreciated then this might be the company for you. Morale at the office is very low.

Pros

It's a paycheck and it's not the worst place in the world. 1.5 stars

Cons

Company is incredibly cheap, had 1% raises couple years in a row. Not all but alot of the higher management have bloated salaries, are unqualified, and were hired only cause they were colleagues of a former CEO. They don't recognize or properly reward the lower level higher performing individuals. I gradually saw all the good employees leave for greener pastures after they had enough of Rainin's nonsense. The company is also a slave to Mettler Toledo's operating as their subsidiary.
