      Not bad; but Communication Could Be Better

      Pros

      Great atmosphere to work in with great people. Friendly work environment.

      Cons

      The communication could be better. The Managers don't seem to talk to each other as well as they could. The training is practically non-existent which means you have employees who have worked at the store forever picking up the slack for all the newbies who were never taught the right way to complete their tasks.

      Pros

      Fun work environment, flexible with schedules, management - store manager will either make or break your experience. I had a really great one when I started and a pretty bad one when I left. Frequent radical changes in direction from corporate. Some good some bad.

      Cons

      Pay raises are a joke - pay went up less than a dollar in 2.5 years. No vacation the first year is ridiculous. The health care for full time employees seemed very complicated and not very good. I didn't take it for these reasons and stayed on my husbands. High turn over can puts management in a state of always training.

      Pros

      Insurance is great. Love the 401k match. There is a 20 word minimum, and I don't have enough nice things to say.

      Cons

      The company has no loyalty to, nor respect for, its employees. They do not pay a living wage. I share a reduced rent with a friend and still cannot make my bills. Like JoAnn Fabrics, they do not supply enough hours to the stores, in order to sufficiently staff the stores, and heavily overburden the staff they have.
