Back to High School You Go

Pros

It is a paycheck and great entry level place if you want to get into the animal health industry and jump into the field. Some nice people have worked there.

Cons

If you want to go back to high school, this is the place for you. No one can make any decisions without getting a permission slip from the principal - the GM and/or owner have to approve the smallest request-even the purchase of office supplies - very micro managed company. The technology is from the dark ages. The office space is like working in a dirty warehouse and over crowded. HR is non-existent unless it is involved with missing a punch on the time clock for hourly workers - they don't provide any training for new employees you are dumped and on your own. Lack of respect from upper management for work/home balance. Benefits are weak and the bonus and 401K was disappointing.

Pros

Great for someone in the industry as a bridge job until you can find something better

Cons

Upper management at corporate is clueless. Over 10 out of 20 OSR's left the Texas branch all at once and they still did not open their eyes or recognize there was a problem. Very clickish organization. you have to flatter the right people to stay ahead. Not a professional organization. More job openings to come...

Poor Management

Pros

benefits aren't too bad but not too good either....could be better but I have seen worse.

Cons

Management doesn't care how the reps are treated. When you report something, your immediate supervisor seems to care and backs you to your face, then stabs you in the back. When problems arise and meetings are held to discuss with corporate the solution for them is to set unrealistic goals when they know they can feasible be met to set you up to be terminated. Agreements made upon hire are always broken, they will promise you certain territories and accounts then never keep their word or take what you have and give it to their favorites and come up with excuses. Big turn over rate.
