Pros

Great place to work after graduate school. They offer clinical supervision for licensure and gain experience. The work is meaningful and they several good programs for clients.

Cons

The CEO, on my opinion is incompetent and out of touch with the agencies needs. He is famous for getting intoxicated at the annual Christmas party and dismissing the concerns of his subordinates. In a nutshell, every review of him on here is factual. Extremely low pay and subpart benefits. Favoritism amoung management, high caseloads, questionable ethics, clients frequently using substances in the bathrooms, poor boundaries with clients

Pros

I love my clients and co workers. It is a tough job but rewarding. I do love helping the community.

Cons

Leadership doesn’t seem all on same page. unorganized. Plays favorites. Focus is on things that don’t always matter and not what does matter.

Pros

The clients are amazing, no matter how challenging they get. Coworkers are wonderful. The job is hard but rewarding.

Cons

Management needs a lot of work. This is not just upper management either, although the goals set by upper management certainly do not make middle-level management easy. CEO's priorities are in the wrong place - please don't prioritize putting fish tanks and goats in the building over the care of our clients.

Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed working with our clients and your co-workers. Regarding the fish tank and goats, our goal and priority is to ensure the well-being of both our patients and employees. The fish tank serves as an educational tool, teaching our patients about marine life, responsibility, and environmental care. It also facilitates therapy by promoting stress reduction and encouraging engagement in the therapeutic process. Goats contribute in many ways such as emotional well-being, promoting physical health, support with socialization and non-judgmental support making them valuable for experiential therapy. We are committed to improving our management practices and aligning our goals with the needs of our patients and staff. Your input is valuable, and if you would like to share any specific situations that we may address, please reach out to info@mhbhc.org to speak with HR. Thank you, and we wish you all the best.
