Thank you for providing this review and we value your feedback and insight to help us improve as an organization. We strive to maintain our unique culture and streamline our reporting structures and this is a work in progress. However, with the current office closures we have changed our views on work from home flexibility and now have created a revamped policy for work from home flexibility to include a remote employee benefits/standards. We have also revamped our performance review and career development process which will enable our employees to have visibility into their career paths at Mimecast. We do appreciate the time spent on writing this review and providing honest feedback to assist us with these changes to make us a best in class workplace.

Pros

* Industry is not going away * Ability to learn and take full ownership * Autonomy if your role permits * The CEO is a good chap! * Flexibility (noting that prior to COVID-19 "work from home" was heavily frowned up) * 401K match * Medical\Dental\Vision Benefits - noting that Medical out-of-pocket cost/deductibles increasing YoY * Free lunch M-TH, cool but loud office space (probably irrelevant now with COVID-19) * Some good, genuine people you can grow with like at any company

Cons

* Mgmt emphasis on politics vs. support\ownership\action\ideation * Silos, poor communication between Teams, nepotism especially in EMEA * Recent external Director-level+ hires are from same companies leading to no new ideation and increase in politics (Q. How much was paid out in referral fees for these folks?) * Internal titles\promotions handed out selectively not based on merit; reshuffling of poor managers at VP and Director level * Annual review process is non-existant with raises (if you're lucky) based on favoritism * Redundant leadership roles in Finance, HR, and Product * When people leave there are no announcements, masking high employee turnover * SUGGESTION = With business travel suspended due to COVID, the FI Team should re-evaluate the "Leaders" with extensive prior travel expenses. I'm sure the ROI on them, not just their extensive travel, is questionable.

Pros

Great teams and strong leadership, a flexible work-life balance, endless career opportunities, they embrace diversity, have a values-based, respectful culture.

Cons

We're all having to work from home right now and we're missing our amazing new London office, however we've been set up really well to function as a 100% remote workforce.
