Pros

great office space and work space

Cons

toxic culture filled with inexperienced leaders that have grown up the ladder based off old friendships. No progression for women in sales and in leadership. Mimecast is a walking HR nightmare. The lowest paying sales structure I. have seen in the security space. Overall a scary place to be for women looking got grow up the ladder and wanting eqaulity.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are on a journey with diversity, equity & inclusion (DEI) at Mimecast and have taken steps to accelerate our efforts in this space. We have recently formalized a new DEI strategy with defined goals and accountability measures that will be implemented in the coming months. This includes measures to increase workforce diversity including women in leadership. Additionally, we continue to build out additional engagement opportunities through our active employee resource groups (ERGs), including our Women @ Mimecast Group. We believe this will help facilitate positive change as we continue to promote an inclusive culture across Mimecast.

A company that doesn't really know who they are.

Pros

Free lunch Relaxed wfh ability ( depending on who you work for) People are fairly nice, if only on the surface.

Cons

So much legacy bloat, people think just because they've been at mimecast a really long time they're experts on the world. No career growth. No help in changing roles. Tons of promotions of people who are not competent but were pushed up due to cronyism. Company is super focused on meeting feel good metrics like diversity hires, which CAN be a good thing but not when we're hiring people who truly don't have the talent we need. Mimecast touts all the perks like coffee, bagels, snacks and even a pool table. It's all very eye catching for a millennial but when you're a bit older and you're not being paid competitively or given fair raises by a company that is so profitable, these "perks" ring hollow.

Pros

Snacks? Cold brew? Cool office.

Cons

- Humorous management team at the time (looks like they cleaned house) - No internal structure: sales tools, crm's, etc.. - Very cliquey environment, albeit pretty typical for most SAAS companies in a hyper growth mode
