Pros

There are many Pros regarding Mindera. To be honest, It's hard to write about all in a short brief. - Great office in Porto's Downtown. - Really friendly and helpful people. - Interesting projects. - The kitchen is always full of cheese, ham, fruits, yogurts, and whatever do you want. - Friday beer - Self organisation everywhere - Flexible working hours and working from home - Recruitment's team always improving their process - Everyone is able to give new ideas - Scrum teams working directly with the final client without hierarchies - Flexible vacation's day - Notebook's recognition after few years (just for directly employers)

Cons

Small points but there are important to improve: - Low salary comparing with the others companies in the same area (The consults usually pay more than the own company) - There isn't a carrear plan - Notebook's recognition after few years is just for directly employers (not for consultants) and they say that everyone is a part of company, weird? - Some Junior profiles doing the interview process and trying to give suggests about "level". - There aren't mentors for new and junior employers. It could be hard because they don't have any reference about carrear and have to be a self organisation.

Pros

- Working conditions are the best a software company can provide - Remote friendly - Teams are very self-managed and self-organized - Very friendly working environment - Promotes and enables close relationships between teams and clients - Most team projects are relaxed and people become naturally close to one another - Porto's office and location are great - People can organize within themselves to arrange any kind of events - Good benefits plan - Mostly flat-hierarchy (although not completely flat and this isn't always transparent) - Knowledge sharing is everywhere and everyone is always there willing to help you and lend a hand

Cons

- Some chaotic company-wise decision making - There is some enterprise structure but it's behind the scenes which leads to: - Some lack of transparency in the company organization and the way some decisions are made without consulting most of the people - The founders have oversight and additional weight in company/project decision making but this isn't really perceived by them when it should - No clear career goals or career progress- each employee has to create their own - Not the most competitive wages in the market - Benefits plan is good but there's a high level of uncertainty if bonuses are part of it - which means you could get an annual bonus or there could be no bonus at all - Newcomers can sometimes feel lost if no one volunteers to mentor them (there is no onboarding program) - Salary reviews are self-proposed and rely on people's self-assessment, which can lead to some unfairness (some people are fine with requesting an update to salary every cycle, regardless if they deserve it) - There's no real HR team and it really hurts the people. Ops team doesn't do enough to make sure people are happy in the company

Pros

Good work environment, ability to get creative about the solutions that are applied in each project. Multiple clients across different business areas. Out of the box team building activities. Gives the employees the ability to choose their own training and the freedom to take it upon themselves to organise the day to day, considering that responsibilities with the team are met. Ability to plan vacations without having to go through a painful approval process. Salary reviews every 3 months (notice that this is not salary raise every 3 months). Ability to choose what's in the refrigerator or other snacks. Great support for parents (medical insurance and other perks). Ability to work from home or other place than the office when one needs to take care of personal things that in other companies would require a vacation day or even to have a painful justification with the proverbial "boss".

Cons

It can be confusing to resolve non-work related issues as one needs to find by him/herself who will be able to help.
