-Despite have some in-house projects, they're so intertwined with Paychex, that anything Paychex does or wants, they're pretty much beholden to. It seems like Mindex is really Paychex but with extra steps.
--Sort of a subpoint to this is that due to the nature of the relationship between Mindex and Paychex, when Paychex decides to cut contracts without much warning, Mindex is left scrambling to somehow find millions of dollars to make up the lost revenue. Which leads to the next con....
-Layoffs! All the pros mentioned above in regards to teamwork and culture, you can now throw out the window. Laying off 10% of staff out of the blue in order to offshore positions seems completely anthem to a place that seemed to not only pride and base its values on being a "great place to work" but also a great asset to the local Rochester community. They also mention trust and gratitude as core values, holding themselves to "an uncompromising, high degree of integrity and ethics." and how they "appreciate our employees and recognize their role in our success." I'm not sure how that can be the case given the choice to offshore jobs.
-The last con pales in comparison to the other two above but if you're looking for mobility and what you need to do move up or take on a new position, well, good luck. There isn't exactly an outline for how somebody could do that. While there is some benefit to being able to just go "Hey boss, I think I should have X position because of Y", without even a vague guideline of requirements, goals, etc it makes it quite difficult to even get to the point of making that pitch.
