Good for Some, Horrible Personal Experience

The salary offered was higher than most places. There was lots of training offered, and resources to complete the job.

Cons

Management was highly highly unprofessional; most importantly talking about HR issues with groups of employees. I didn't feel secure with any personal information, which was not a comfortable means of going to work. There was no formal departmental training program, which lead poor personal responsibility. Lastly, I received no updates from management as to my performance before it was time for annual performance review. An employee is required (by Employment Standards Act) to know how to improve their performance, especially during probationary period.

Unprofessional management. No training program. HR not qualified for position. Employees undervalued.

Company is in the midst of a restructuring.

Opportunities exists for the right people, as in any restructuring process certain people can advance other will be left behind. At one time it was a good family run business.

Cons

Processes and responsibilities are changing and management has not yet figured how to work with the new. It is losing its family oriented business.
