Pros

You will meet some good people who are eager to produce and work with you, but they are few and far between. Uncapped commissions.

Cons

This place just cannot get its bearings on the industry and they are consistently falling behind. Competitors are making big advancements and Modis is making 2,3,4 rounds of layoffs a year to meet a bottom line number put forward by an investment board.. Instead of changing the business model, they are laying people off to "show profit" which is a really short sighted plan for a HUGE problem. The place is a revolving door and they cannot seem to find a balance between toxic employee's who produce and under producers. Some people get to say and do whatever they want and they get away with it because they are producers but it sets an extremely bad example for the other 20 employees in an office and it creates this negative atmosphere that causes people to head out for a new job. I had 4-5 managers in one way or another in just about 2 years of working here. This company is built on hard working employee's yet they do not value or protect their employee's like even an average company should. The same top 10% of the company makes presidents club every year and everyone else is stuck with below average accounts and support. Other than a desk and a phone with some cold leads, this company offers little to no growth or skill building opportunities. Recruiting is already difficult because of a crowded market but it does not need to be this dysfunctional.

Pros

Do your job and go home, you don't take it with you.

Cons

Top heavy in management and managers do very little work for what they're paid. Employees have no benefits (no holiday pay, no sick days, no vacation days). Health benefits are garbage and way too expensive. You don't earn a full year's salary after you deduct holidays, holiday shutdown, and furloughs from your pay. Stay away! You deserve better.

Pros

The unlimited commission, but even this can be complicated to calculate because of so many tiers, %, variables, calculations etc. A 14 week training program that will give you a crash course in recruiting/sales.

Cons

This company seems to be going in the wrong direction everyday. From "encouraging" employees in September to take all their PTOs before the end of year so they wouldn't have to pay out, to doing 3-4 rounds of layoffs since early 2016. And since its a production based industry, you are still responsible to produce and hit your metrics. They don't care about you or what you do for them because it's never enough. Since the numerous layoffs of the majority of Directors and Managers it leaves lots uncertainty, no clear direction, depletion of office moral, etc. It's not an inviting culture. Try juggling a million things with one hand tied behind your back and still being expected to perform and make a profit. Fingers get pointed for things outside of your control. Example, if there are only a limited amount of sales people (2) bringing in requisitions and you have 6 recruiters working and competing for submits, you can't hit your weekly submit goals. So many other things wrong with this company. The company's new slogan is "do more with less".

Pros

Mostly great associates. Good way for college grads to get real world work experience and then move on to better companies.

Cons

No advancement career path. Management talks crap about non-favorite employees. Management often hired hot young girls right out of college so they can ogle them.

Pros

Met a lot of great people, great collaborative opportunities to make decent money as a team.

Cons

Aggressive sales targets and unrealistic sales metrics create a overly competitive environment which cause mid-management to promote unethical behavior. Corporate pressures have caused good people to leave disgruntled, some even had to take leave. In some cases some colleagues have turned on others for the sake of a placement to meet quota. There aren't enough growth opportunities for exceptional reps. Management has a tendency to treat recruitment staff poorly and in some cases seem to condone condescending behavior between the development managers and recruiters.

Pros

Nice people on the front lines.

Cons

Since closing the Harrisburg PA Office the only responsive person is the Office Manager I have contact with in Philadelphia. No one else can return a call within one week. Healthcare benefits are way to expensive.
