Pros

Molex can tout a long list of employees who have been with the company for 20, 30 and even 40 years which is very impressive. The CEO grew up in the organization and he is sharp, transparent, in touch with the market and customers, and also very approachable -- the members of his leadership team share similar traits (though the team lacks diversity.) They try hard to preserve the Molex culture under Koch as the parent company. There are a lot of great, smart, supportive people to work with and learn from.

Cons

In my organization, leadership operates from a position of command and control, demonstrates a high degree of micro management and imposes overly aggressive deadlines. Employees work very long hours for salaries that are below market rates. There is not an established policy for annual salary reviews -- you'll get an annual performance review but salary reviews/increases are at the discretion of your management -- and many employees go years without any salary increase so be prepared.

Pros

Gym in Lisle is nice. The pay is reasonable to good. Some opportunity to travel internationally. Some training and development opportunities.

Cons

No strategic direction makes getting meaningful work done difficult. Sales does not know how to sell the 'solutions' Molex is now attempting to sell because leadership has not defined what that means. Few processes and little documentation. Intellectual Property freely transferred to Asia. Inability to solve straightforward issues that have plagued the company for decades. Total lack of ownership and accountability. Merit not as important as tenure and contacts. Some very talented workers, but by and large a disorganized workplace with a very low quality staff. Several occasions of myself or others lied to or mistreated by management and HR.

Pros

Workout facility is ok, but you will not have time to use it. You are expected to work from time you wake up until time you go to sleep. Don't expect to take PTO, they will make you feel bad for requesting time off and no one will cover for you while you are out.

Cons

Company will take advantage of you, be prepared to work long days and then again each night. No work life balance, this culture is seen in all work groups. If you are lucky might get a bonus or dare I say a salary increase but don't hold your breath.
