Pros

Work is easy as expectations are low. Just show up and you'll get paid.

Cons

More regression than progress. Cars aren't ready for missions until hours after your shift starts as engineers come and go as they please. Time management is nonexistent. Nepotism rules the majority of promotions. Incompetence is the norm for the majority of VOs. The kicker is the woke policies that dictates the day to day operations. Every week is a holiday for some special victim group that has become popular for corporations to cater to for the all important public optics.

I'm sorry that your time at Motional wasn't positive -- and it's certainly not the norm. You mentioned a number of points that I don’t agree with. Our team has been behind many industry firsts, including the world's first robotaxi pilot, and operation of the world's most-established robotaxi fleet, which has provided over 100,000 rides. We also operated some of the world’s first driverless vehicles on public roads just last year, launched a new autonomous food delivery partnership with Uber Eats in Santa Monica this year, and will be the first fully driverless ride-hail service in Las Vegas with Lyft in 2023. These accomplishments (and many more) speak as much to the talent and dedication of our teams as they do to the reliability and the quality of our technology. Again, I'm sorry you were disappointed in your experience here, and I wish you the best for the future. Sincerely, Abe Ghabra, Chief Operating Officer

Pros

Pay was above average for the industry

Cons

1. My manager clearly had Narcissistic personality disorder, and was rewarded consistently for it. 2. Demos for Hyundai execs and other VIPs were a lesson in how to make outdated tech look like a CES reveal. 3. People Ops is there to protect upper-level management. 4. If you are unwilling to not disagree with your manager on anything, you are blacklisted from any opportunities, and exiled from the sacred Inner-Circle. 5. Personal gain is the driving force behind management's motivations, and Marketing's obvious directive is to ensure that the runway towards the cliff is just long enough for those at the top to make off with financial and career-status gains, before investors become aware that the ocean waves are at the walls of the castle of sand. 6. 'Style Before Substance' should be the company's motto.

I'm sorry that your time at Motional wasn't a positive one -- and I'm glad it's not the norm. You mentioned a number of points that I don’t agree with, but let me address your comments regarding our tech and team. We're proud of all we have achieved: our team has been behind many industry firsts, including the world's first robotaxi pilot, and operation of the world's most-established robotaxi fleet which has provided over 100,000 rides. We also operated some of the world’s first driverless vehicles on public roads just last year, and we’ll be the first fully driverless ride-hail service in Las Vegas with Lyft in 2023. Pros

Nice offices, decent perks. Used to have smart individuals but quickly leaving or worse getting fired.

Cons

Leadership across the board is terrible. My specific leadership is amazingly incompetent and nonexistent, had no idea what is going on, doesn't understand our product and thus could not get a grasp of the whole team. Product leadership overall has no clear vision or strategy and daily operating for survival while promoting terrible politics, high ego and a backstabbing culture. Proudly silencing experienced individuals for calling out bad practices or worse shown the door. Shamelessly making an example out of them!

Thanks for your feedback. I’m sorry to hear you aren’t having the positive experience we want for all our employees. Regarding your comments about leadership, I will respectfully disagree. We have a talented team across all levels, with some of the most innovative colleagues in the industry. This includes a strong bench of world-leading robotics, autonomy and engineering experts at the leadership level. That doesn’t mean we get it right every time -- but testing, learning, and iterating are all part of the development process as we grow as a company. That being said, I’m a big believer in open communication and feedback. If you feel like you aren’t getting what you need, please don’t hesitate to reach out so we can set up time to discuss and hopefully improve your experience. Thank you again for your feedback.
