Thank you for your detailed and thoughtful review—we’re so glad to hear you’ve had a positive experience with Motive, from onboarding to day-to-day work. It’s great to know that our compensation, benefits, and team culture are resonating with you. Regarding your comment on work location flexibility: team members based near any of our three offices in Pakistan are welcome to work onsite if they prefer. We aim to support both remote and in-office preferences wherever possible, so everyone can thrive in the environment that works best for them. Thanks again for being part of the team!

Pros

Mostly remote work. Pay with commissions can be somewhat reasonable if you are a consistent top performer. Management is mostly reasonable. Job security is also somewhat reasonable.

Cons

Extreme understaffing in the department. Base pay is extremely low at approx $400 a month which is below the market average leading to huge turnover in the subdepartments that do not get commissions. Insanely high KPIs which leads to customers getting very annoyed by the very frequent calls and messages which are almost at borderline harassment levels. Following the USA schedule which is used as an excuse to not grant the local Pakistani holidays and then on US holidays, many employees are still forced or obliged to work due to being heavily understaffed. The level of understaffing and low salaries are embarrassing for such a large company that is worth around $3 billion. Collectors are also expected to do work that is beyond the scope of collections. Collectors at Motive also do billing and support work. Some collectors also have to customize invoices and run external payments which is traditionally a billing role.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re committed to continually improving the employee experience at Motive. To clarify, our Billing and Collections team operates during U.S. business hours to support our U.S.-based customers. Team members follow the U.S. holiday calendar and are also provided with two additional festive holidays aligned with local Pakistani traditions. In rare cases where critical business needs arise on a U.S. holiday, appropriate holiday pay is provided. We value the contributions of every team member and appreciate your perspective.
