Pros

You are able to gain experience and move on plus weekly pay.

Cons

Lack of adequate training and extremely poor communication. They basically throw you to the wolves without any tools. They expect you to look at things and know what to do without any guidance. Your dealing with the health of individuals and half of the doctors don’t have any availability to see patients. Patients complain about how unprofessional some doctors are and there’s nothing you can do. Team leaders are unprofessional and not helpful at all. Quality Control can listen in and record calls to grade you on performance not realizing that causes a distraction when you have constant clicking in your ears.

Pros

Good team, good hospital reputation, other departments treat their employees fairly and offer fair compensation.

Cons

No raises available for my department but promotions are abound for other departments, cost of living wages tied to performance review but the raises are not yearly; only when the higher ups choose to provide one, the director positions seem to have the bare minimum when it comes to diversity. They'll have the token latino, token A.A, etc., Our boss gave our department the responsibilities of another department, initially to "assist" them, it has been over a year and now we're fully accountable for their work along with our primary jobs. When raises get brought up we're told there isn't money in the budget, yet the department that had their duties relieved all received a promotion, and our boss got one as well (plus a nomination of employee of the year), yet there's no money to raise us, the people whom they stepped on to receive such recognition. Management doesn't trust their employees to work from home. Literally one mistake made us come back to the office while the pandemic was still raging. ONE error.

Good pay but be ready for abuse

Pros

-Competitive pay if you can handle the stress -Mostly remote work in the interim

Cons

-Abusive and rude leadership -Toxic environment where almost everyone is afraid to speak up -Be ready to be yelled at for anything at a moments notice -You will be required to work well beyond your scheduled work hours and days without any additional pay if you are salaried -Work-life balance is non-existent, you must fight for your boundaries between work and life -Not really much in terms of career opportunities -Almost everyone there has broken down in tears on more than one occasion -Office is a rotating door, people do not stay for long. Leadership most likely tell their higher ups that it's the nature of the IRB field but in this case it very much is not. -Benefits were not that great and were concentrated in the city -Micromanaging -Leadership is very contradictory. They like to show every so often that they care with a small act but then continue to abuse staff. I would never recommend anyone to work here until the leadership changes. This review only speaks about the PPHS office since no one should apply there without having both eyes open.
