Pros

Learn how not to run a company

Cons

The CEO has a self impression of being Elon Musk/Steve Jobs. Unfortunately, things he does is unbecoming of an industry leader. Ungrateful, habitual lies, frameworks to justify decisions. And, that has unfortunately percolated down to a lot of people. Good fortune that even his most trusted lieutenants have finally had better sense dawn upon them, in 2016-17. And, the circus continues albeit with declining revenues. If all the force-fitted frameworks and analogies didnt work for Mu Sigma itself, how is it going to work for their clients. Something amiss!

Pros

Hardly any pros. Learning? I learnt more at my previous company without longer hours and a better pay.

Cons

I joined Mu thinking analytics was the place to be in and took a pay cut even. What a big mistake. Long hours. Low salary. Managers with no experience. Only driven by getting more business and neglecting what's at hand. Not at all employee centric. A brainwashed set of employees who don't care to challenge the status quo. Though they call themselves this - this is definitely not a flat organization. The CEO does not listen to anyone but himself. Totally a top down system.

Pros

Exposure to "analytics" although this depends greatly on your project. Most of my work was reporting (SQL) and business intelligence Client facing role early A lot of independence Working with big name companies

Cons

Make sure your first location is a place you want to be, because you'll probably be looking for a new job before you get your second assignment Long hours, night calls No incentive to do well, "fixed track" ensures the good people leave for higher paying jobs and the average or below-average stick around Management simply does not care about you, which is fine, but then you probably won't care about the company Consider yourself a skilled temp-worker, not a consultant. You receive daily tasks from your client, they are often involved in projects and want daily updates Lying lying lying lying lying. Management will lie to you, they will lie to your client, they will ask you to lie, it often feels like the attitude towards the client is "Kiss their feet and lie to their face." Company is not growing, upper management (all the way to the CEO) are fleeing in droves, large amounts of equity are going to be sold soon, avoid if you have other offers
