With regard to your advice, “encourage management to take a more proactive approach and interest with their direct reports,” I’m happy to share that one of the main initiatives our Manager of Organizational Learning and Development is working on is a management training program. Much of the focus of this initiative is about equipping managers with the mindset and tools to constructively dialogue about the topics you mention. As a company that has seen a lot of growth, we understandably have managers at varying experience levels and believe in the type of programs you suggest. Our HR services team does visit with team members and if you have been unable to meet your local HR partners and wish to do so, I would encourage you to actively reach out. As we look to continue to create structured programs such as some of the ones you suggest, it’s also important for employees to take ownership and establish the relationships they seek to have at NAVEX Global.
