Pros

Good company culture, relaxed dress code, can work from home, company events and lunches

Cons

Pay and benefits are not competitive. Salaried employees in the Services organization are not only encouraged but expected to work more than 40 hours a week ('think about your coworkers who are out sick or on vacation - need to keep our billable utilization up') but are not incentivized to do so. There is no bonus structure. Good performance is not rewarded. KPIs must be met to keep your job. Poor communciation between departments. Changes are made and not communciated to teams that are client facing and they have to deal with the backlash.

Pros

PTO benefits are pretty good

Cons

NAVEX is a conglomeration of four or five former competitors and complementary service providers that was mashed together by a private equity firm. The company now has multiple software packages that all do the same thing but no backbone to force customers to consolidate onto a single platform. Some of the platforms are using some really old technology (Classic ASP still drives a major application) and with the focus on growth and revenue (like most private equity firms) there's no money to bring the application up to current technology and standards. In addition to the issues in product development, HR is condescending and plays favorites. As long as you're on their good side you're golden, but get on their bad side and you might as well start looking for another job.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. NAVEX Global was formed in 2012 from four existing companies with some overlap of products offered but also with very distinct solutions, allowing us to better serve our clients' compliance needs and be more than the sum of our parts. A little over a year ago, we acquired The Network, Inc, making our organization the leading industry provider of integrated software, content and services in the ethics and compliance space. We are proud of this history and see it as an important part of who we are today. Regarding our technology, NAVEX Global uses Agile processes and code refactoring techniques to continually modernize and update our software using the latest technologies and techniques. Typically, this means that when we notice a problem or are making significant changes to an area of the system, if necessary, we upgrade it as well. This helps to limit the risk associated with massive technology overhauls or rewrites and allows us to learn from previous efforts. Lastly, I would also add that I’m sorry that your perception was that HR is biased. As a team we strive to be a resource for all employees and departments. Once again, thanks for your input.
