Pros

Ability to work from; decent, hard-working staff in call center; attempt to make work environment very relaxed (dress code is basically non-existent). Okay job for college student taking online classes.

Cons

The pay is insulting! If you're working as CS, and you're an adult with a family, you won't make ends meet. You will have to work OT, which is plentiful due to high turnover, almost everyday. The calls are back to back from people complaining about sexual harassment to made up stuff dealing with the SEC. The calls can really wear on you mentally, and you don't have enough time from breaks (15 minute each) or lunch(30 minutes) to recoup. Many times I've come back on the phone literally belching from having to woof down my lunch! Management wants you to give them 90 days advance notice for time off...really? Who can determine what may happen 90 days from now, especially those who are married and have kids? Training is a joke! Trainers are nice, but in no way are you completely trained to take all the different type calls. I've been there almost six months and still get calls that I've not been trained to handle, and if you close the call out wrong, here come the emails and calls!

I can appreciate the nature of the calls you handle s as Communication Specialist are challenging. Thank you for your feedback with regard to scheduling and training. We are continually bringing on new team members in order to allow for more flexibility with scheduling, but we want to ensure we are making quality hires. As you experienced, our training class is currently 80 hours, and I understand we are not able to cover every call scenario in that time. However, if you would like additional training, please reach out to HR or a performance coach, and we would be happy to work with you on any additional items you would like to discuss. Thank you for your feedback.

Pros

Friendly coworkers, occasional snacks, clean bathrooms, AC blows cold, good location despite being far from the city center.

Cons

CSs are underpaid and treated as though they are replaceable, which they are. There is such a high level of turnover that the company is constantly hiring. You will jump through so many hoops to get the job only to be paid less than 30k a year. The job is grueling and repetitive and is worse than other call centers I've worked in. The workload has increased but staffing levels have not, so it's back to back to back calls. There is an arbitrary and punitive shift bid, meaning your schedule can change "based on needs." You are ranked by performance so you can get nailed with a different schedule than you started out with. Your family and personal life don't matter one bit to the managers who make these decisions. It is a struggle to get approved for your PTO and the benefits are awful. You will receive emails about initiatives, meetings, events, and even holidays that you don't get to participate in, which means you get to see how great it is to work here in virtually any other position. Managers/coaches take micromanagement to an amazing new level. Every little thing results in meetings and emails in duplicate or triplicate. I would never recommend that anyone with another option work here. Low pay, zero consideration for the employees, and a really terrible job.
